Browsers
---------

Note: THE BROWSER IS AN IMPORTANT ELEMENT OF THIS TUTORIAL.
Browsers are computer programs that display web pages.
You're using a browser now to see this web page!
The first big one was Netscape.
I'm using Microsoft Internet Explorer in this tutorial.
It's good to test your web pages in Netscape also.

Is there a dog anywhere named Browser?
---------
You'll be using IE along with the FTP program
in learning the website editing/publishing process.
Click the "Back" Button in IExplorer to return to this page.
---------
You'll find it's actually very quick and simple.
You are accustomed to seeing web pages on the internet,
but now you will save pages on your home computer.
---------
Opening a Page in IExplorer
---------
Open IE.
(See Graphic Above) Click File>Open>Browse.
Now you are ready to navigate to any folder and file on your hard drive!
You do not need to be online to do this!
The next lesson is a first look at HTML.
